AKŞEHİR İPLİKÇİ MOSQUE
It is understood that the mosque, which is likely to have been built in the 14th century based on its architectural features, especially from the alternating wall technique on the exterior, has undergone serious repairs in 1540-1541 and 1894-1895 and has taken its present form. As a foundation work, Iplikci Mosque, which is made of cut stone and brick material in alternating wall technique, has a rectangular plan. The harim part of the building consists of a transverse rectangular plan form in front of the mihrab and a reinforced concrete part that sits on eight square section concrete pillars and gives the impression of a later addition. It is possible to see rich plaster and painted ornamentation examples with baroque character befitting the history of the building in the three-domed section in front of the mihrab in İplikçi Mosque, which has lost its original architectural features to a great extent in the historical process, especially in the interior.
