KALENDERHANE (KALENDERBABA) TOMB
Kalenderhane (Kalenderbaba) Tomb, located to the north of Kesikbaş Tomb, was built in 1284-1285 as a foundation work. Constructed of rubble stone and brick, the building has an octagonal plan. The cist part of the octagonal tomb is covered with a dome on the inside and an octagonal cone on the outside. A squinch was used as a dome transition element in the building. The entrance section and some parts of the interior walls, which are designed to protrude from the body of the tomb, are covered with smooth cut stone.
