Located to the north of Şerafettin Mosque, Ali Efendi Teacher Home was built in 1429 by Hacı Ali, son of Mehmet, as a foundation work. Built of cut stone material, the building has a square plan. The square-planned building is covered with a dome resting on an octagonal pulley.  The dome, in which a tromp is used as a transition element, is covered with lead from the outside. The entrance door on the main façade is emphasized with a crown and a superficial niche with an eyebrow arch.  Ali Efendi Muallimhanesi is a unique example that was built as an educational institution in Konya and has survived to the present day by assuming different functions.
