DOĞANHİSAR GRAND MOSQUE
Doğanhisar Grand Mosque, which was built as a foundation work in 1548 during the Ottoman period, was built of rubble stone and brick. The center court of the Doğanhisar Grand Mosque, which consists of three courts perpendicular to the mihrab wall with wooden poles, is wider and higher than the other two courts. The mihrab and pulpit are also made of wood, and it is possible to see rich examples of pencil ornamentation on the inner surface of the ceiling, wooden poles and the mihrab. Doğanhisar Great Mosque is of great importance as it is one of the most beautiful examples of mosques with wooden pillars extending perpendicular to the mihrab wall, which are frequently seen in Konya and its surroundings, especially in Beyşehir and its vicinity.
