ARAPLAR AK MOSQUE

Located to the west of Araplar Cemetery, the mosque belongs to the late Ottoman period. Built in 1907 as a foundation work, the mosque was constructed with adobe material. The storage and ablution units in the north of the building were added to the mosque later. The harim part of the building has a rectangular plan and consists of three courts. The ceiling, which is carried by eight polygonal wooden legs, is covered with wooden veneer and the ceiling cores are decorated. The building, which has a four-sided hipped roof from the outside, has a minaret with a single balcony. The interior of the building also has pencil ornaments on the body walls.
