The tomb, a foundation work from the Seljuk period, was built in the 13th century for Seyfeddin Karasungur, the brother of the famous Seljuk vizier and statesman Celaleddin Karatay. Built of bricks, the structure has an octagonal plan. Covered with a dome from the inside, the tomb is covered with an octagonal cone from the outside. Traces of geometric ornamentation can be seen on the facades of the artifact where a tromp is used as a dome transition element.
