ZEVLE SULTAN MASJİD

Zevle Sultan Masjid, located west of Alaeddin Hill, around the Konya Fairgrounds, was built as a foundation work in the 13th century. Zevle Sultan Masjid is built of brick and has a square plan. The tomb, which is covered with a single dome, does not have a pulley, but a pendentive was used as a dome transition element. The dome of the masjid, whose mihrab and pulpit are later additions, was covered with lead in the later period. Right next to the masjid, which is extremely plain in terms of ornamentation, is the tomb of Zevle Sultan.
