The building, which was built as a foundation work to the east of Mevlana Dergâh, is dated to 1821. Asmalı Hatıp Sultan Mosque, built of stone and adobe, has a rectangular plan. The rectangular harim section consists of three pitches perpendicular to the mihrab wall. The center court is wider than the others. A staircase to the right of the entrance leads to the women's mahfil on the upper floor. The mosque is covered with a hipped roof and a brick minaret with a single balcony was built in 1952.
