ULAŞBABA TOMB
Ulaşbaba Tomb, located to the east of Konya Numune Hospital, was built as a foundation work dating back to the Seljuk period in the 14th century. The octagonal structure built of cut stone and brick is covered with a dome on the inside and a polygonal cone on the outside. The most interesting part of the building is the geometric zigzags made with different colored bricks in the belly of the dome inside. In addition to this, at the entrance to the cist floor, on the upper part of the marble mass surrounding the door opening, there is a carving resembling a pomegranate motif designed as the crown section of the door arch.
