PİR AHMED EFENDİ MOSQUE
Pir Ahmed Efendi Mosque was built by Pir Ahmed, also known as Boyalı Kadı, in 1547 during the Ottoman period as a foundation work. Built of cut stone material, it is a classical Ottoman mosque with a three-celled last congregation place and has a square plan with a single dome. In this respect, the building resembles other Ottoman mosques in Karaman. The dome, which covers the square-planned harim section and is carried by segmented squinches, rests on a polygonal pulley. The entrance of the harim section is used as a women's section. The mihrab of the structure, whose minbar has been largely destroyed, preserves its originality. In the northeast corner of the building, there is a minaret with a single balcony made of cut stone material. In the interior of the building, pencil ornamentation details are found on the dome skirt, squinch surfaces and body walls.
