KARAMAN YUNUS EMRE MOSQUE AND TOMB
The structure was built by Yunus Emre, son of Ismail, in 1382 during the Karamanids period as a foundation work. Built of cut stone material, the structure consists of a mosque and a tomb. The mosque consists of a five-celled last congregation place covered with a dome and a square harim section covered with a dome to the south of it. The space between the mosque and the tomb to the west was closed in the process and this part was included into the mosque. The tomb section to the west of the masjid has a rectangular plan. There are four cists in the tomb, which is covered with a barrel vault. The minaret with a single balcony built of brick is located to the north of the tomb. It is possible to see ornamental elements on the plaster mihrab of the masjid part of the structure, which is quite plain.
