AKŞEHİR SEYYİD MAHMUD HAYRANİ TOMB
Although the exact date of the first construction of the building is not known, it is understood from the date on one of the sarcophagi in the tomb that the building was built in 1251 and was renovated in 1409-1410 by the order of Seyyid Muhyiddin b. Seyyid Muhyiddin b. Seyyid Muhyiddin b. Seyyid Mahmûd and took its present form. Built in the 13th century as a foundation work, Seyyid Mahmud Hayrani Tomb has an interesting plan. At the bottom there is a square section made of rubble stone and brick. Above this, there is a second section, which consists of a hexagonal pulley with a hexagonal cone and is built of brick. The tomb, which has three cists on the lower floor, is especially remarkable with its tile decorations on the second section, which have been destroyed on a large scale.
