ALİ GAV MADRASA
Located on the street that bears its name, Ali Gav Madrasa is a foundation work from the Seljuk period, dating back to the late 12th and early 13th centuries. Built of stone and brick, only the main iwan and the rooms on both sides have survived to the present day, while the building has been completely restored with the restoration process it has recently undergone. The unit to the east of the iwan of the building, which belongs to the plan group of madrasas with closed courtyards, single storey and single iwan, is the tomb. There is a wooden cist in the tomb. The building was opened for education under the name Mahmudiye Madrasah in 1901 during the Ferit Pasha period.
